After racking up a respectable first week of box office grosses for an independently produced and distributed film, “Atlas Shrugged- Part 1” producers hope to increase the number of theaters showing it from the current 300 to about 1,000 by this weekend. This translates to more screens showing the film here in Iowa. Here’s an updated list:

I've seen some nasty reviews from the “professional” movie critics, so I take that as a raging endorsement. Funny how all the “reviews” are pretty much political rants and don't actually say anything about the movie itself.
It's coming to Missoula, so we'll be going there just to see it in the theater, which is like an every-other-year kind of thing for us. But then, there hasn't been any movie fare worth driving to town and shelling out bucks for in a long time.
